After putting his guitar and mandolin down to concentrate on his family and career in 2004, Charley Bowman picked up his instruments as covid was kicking in and started writing songs again. He rediscovered his love of traditional folk music, and singer-songwriters, too many to list.
A recipient of an Ohio Arts Council grant, Charley pursued finger picking lessons and bluegrass mandolin lessons to better hone his craft. His performances included many of his original songs and some well known and lesser known folk covers.
He is now playing around northeast Ohio as a solo artist, a member of the trio Folk Paper Scissors and duo project called Flying Blind.
