Tim Mirth is an active and prolific musician in the Akron/Cleveland area performing in bands covering many genres from jazz to metal. Tim has toured throughout the eastern US and in Europe with various bands. Tim's solo guitar work is a combination of his experiences including studying jazz and classical guitar at the University of Akron. The music touches on Jazz, Classical, Folk music, Indian traditions along with even rhythmic variations reminiscent of musicians like Frank Zappa. The solo show music encompasses a lot of colors. Using a variation of techniques to make sounds such as tapping and slapping the guitar, as well as manipulating sounds with effects and loops, Tim is able to cover a lot of ground.
